Greetings Visitors, Friends & Brethren,
I would like to welcome you to Center Star Lodge No. 11 on the World Wide Web.
Center Star Lodge has the great distinction of being the oldest Lodge in Licking County, having been chartered in the year 1811 by the newly formed Grand Lodge of Ohio. In that time she has seen many changes in the world around her, from a Civil War here at home, to two World Wars, the Korean and Vietnamese Conflicts and the war in the Middle East that goes on today. She has also seen forty Presidents come and go over the years. She has prospered through some great times in American History and she has endured many hard times as well. She has witnessed Masonry at its highpoint when men were standing in line to join our great fraternity and she has bared witness to Masonry’s low point during the Morgan Affair of the mid-1800’s. During all of these events, Center Star Lodge has endured. She has been a pillar in her community, a place to turn to in times of difficulty and danger. She has accepted a lot of good men as they entered through her doors and she has witnessed them change and improve themselves in Masonry and become better men as they travel on that level of time until they are called to that Grand Lodge above, where the Great Architect of the Universe Presides.
As we start this new Masonic year, I challenge each of my brothers to “Pay It Forward”. Reach out to your family, friends and neighbors and show them what Freemasonry is all about. Show them that we care about them and their needs. Spread the tenants of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth and with a little care and attention, you will see Freemasonry grow before your very eyes.
To the future brother who may be reading this for the first time, I challenge you to look deep in your heart and ask yourself this one question; “Do I want to be a better man”? If you answered yes, then you are in the right place. Explore this site, learn as much as you can about Freemasonry and most important of all, ask a brother for a petition to join our great fraternity. Remember “2B1ASK1”
Sincerely and Fraternally Yours,
W. Ed Corns
